Chairman Imran Khan throws a question out to the nation today: currently there are 23 lakh children studying under the Madrassa system in Pakistan. What are we supposed to do about these children ? Should as a nation disown them out of a fear of radicalisation ? Current ongoing studies on ISIS and AL-Qaeda show that these organisations recruit young people from marginalised groups and indoctrinate then. By disowning over 23 lakh Madrassa children should we push them into a corner ?
We should we as a nation not being the madrassa system under one curriculum, with better syllabuses so that these children too have an opportunity to become an active part of society, to grow up, to get jobs rather than being completely marginalised ?
