On April 9, 2025, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, sisters of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, were briefly detained by police near Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. They, along with other PTI leaders and supporters, were protesting after being denied a meeting with Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated.
